In the process of digging deeper into WPT I did find many new ways to explore my system. The Windows Performance Toolkit for Windows 8 is NOT only for Windows 8 but it does run on Windows Vista and later. This toolkit is the the Hubble Space Telescope of performance engineering. It gives you call stacks far far away in the kernel and back across all processes of your system. But it is not only a tool for kernel hackers.
