Chris G. Williams Beware: I mix tech and personal interests here.

I'm thinking about hitting a movie this weekend.

My choices are:

Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem, I Am Legend, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

If you've seen any of these, and have an opinion good or bad, I'd like to hear it. I never had much luck with movie reviewers. They tend to hate the ones I really like, and vice versa.

I saw National Treasure: Book of Secrets last night and really enjoyed it.  It's simpler than the first one, but still enjoyable.

I haven't actually seen any of the above (saw Charlie Wilson's War last weekend and really enjoyed it).

However, I have several friends that have seen I Am Legend. The reviews have been mixed; while a few people said they didn't like it at all (they said it turned hokey towards the end but I won't spoil it for you), but most of them gave it a "ok movie" review. I have not heard anybody say that they absolutely loved it. Most of them have just said that it was pretty good and entertaining, but it wasn't amazing.

Hope that helps a little bit.

AVP:R - Havn't seen it, but from what I've heard from *everyone*, avoid it like the plague...until it hits the cable movie stations and you can see it for free.

Sweeney Todd: Saw it, LOVED IT...but I also was a bit nostalgic at remembering seeing a televised broadway play of Sweeney Todd where Angela Landsbury played the pie maker. It is a musical, but it totally works. The movie will ruin the name Joanna for you though...

In the Name of the King: Transporter meets D&D?!?! OMG, my life is complete! Totally looking forward to this one.

I saw "I am Legend" and can vouch for the movie. It was entertaining, had some unusual insights, and featured really fast vampire humans. (Whatever happened to the slo-mo mummies in movies?)

Anyway, I will be seeing the Dungeon Siege movie tonight (thanks mr. softie)...

Happy viewing,
