We're half way through an amazing day here in San Diego. We've brought almost a hundred user group leaders together here at TechEd for a full day of sharing and training on running a successful user group.

Bill Evjen started us off with a look at where we've been over the last couple of years. Following that we had a short report from the heads of each of our committees talking about what's going on with them. Lot's of great stuff happening with the speakers' bureau, in the academic space and with marketing.

Following that we had an address from Scott Fallon from Microsoft Legal who spoke about engaging with Public Policy. There is a lot of crazy stuff going on in the legal space. One bill introduced in Louisianna would make it illegal to use installation keys!!

Next up we had some short presentations from some of the vendors that support INETA. Bill Fahey of DataDirect, Brad McCabe of Infragistics, Chris Lank of Ivis, and Brian Easter from VIA Networks were among the presentors.

Amy Mougette (nee Sorakas) was on hand along with Catherine Vegher and Heidi Dill to talk about Microsoft's community goals for the future on a North American as well as an international scale.

We had a great lunch here in the hotel and now we're back at it!! Stay tuned!
